I KNOW THIS WORLD
FROM THE INSIDE.
I've spent decades fascinated by muscle, masculinity, and the men who embody both.
IT STARTED WITH MUSCLE.
Like many gay men, I knew what I was drawn to long before I had the words to explain it.
Muscular men fascinated me. Bodybuilders fascinated me. And along with the attraction came something else: the feeling that maybe I shouldn't be feeling it at all.
That combination of desire and shame can stay with you for a very long time.
THEN I GOT CLOSER.
My muscle fetish eventually led me into the inner sanctum of competitive bodybuilding.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, I became a physique photographer, photographing competitive bodybuilders and muscular athletes from inside their world.
I wasn't looking at these men from a distance anymore. I was working with them, photographing them, and getting to know them.
I KNOW WHAT MAKES BOTH SIDES TICK.
I've been up close with the men you're looking at.
I know the discipline, ambition, insecurity, pride, vulnerability, and desire that can exist behind the physique.
And I know what it's like to be the man looking at it.
That gives me a perspective very few people have.
YOU DON'T NEED TO BE FIXED.
You may need to stop fighting yourself.
I work with gay men around muscle, masculinity, desire, and self-acceptance.
Especially men who have spent years wondering what their attraction to muscle says about them.
My job isn't to take that desire away.
It's to help you understand it, own it, and see that it can be part of what makes you whole.
